Ever since deciding to grow my business, Lune Croissanterie, I've learned that one of the biggest challenges is staffing. It's shocking how much time we spend every week trying to find last minute replacement staff, or fill vacancies of permanent staff who need a break. Advertising for new positions on Instagram is great because it gets the word out to a lot of people, but ultimately we end up wasting so much time sifting through many inappropriate and irrelevant job apps (no doubt I'm preaching to the choir here). I also know from first hand experience how tiresome the process is for job seekers. Aside from the staffing problem, our industry exhibits black market behavior that needs to stop if hospitality is to really move forward.
The uberisation of industries is changing the way we work. Supp proposes a welfare-enhancing model: a platform in which the community moves toward shared economic, social and cultural goals.
I think Supp is a remarkable step forward for hospitality and I can't wait to hear what you think. To become a Co-Owner of Supp alongside us, visit here.
